Thanksgiving is the perfect time to sit down with your family and reflect on all the things you are thankful for. It is also a great time to think about giving thanks to others. Below are 10 ideas you and your kids can do, to give thanks this holiday season and throughout the year.
Kids love Halloween for two reasons…dressing up in their favorite costume and all the candy they will be getting. Parents love Halloween to see all their kids smiling faces, and maybe for sneaking some of their candy! When your kids are tucked into bed and sleeping off all the sugar, why not open a bottle of wine and enjoy some candy yourself. Check out my list of which wines pair best with what candy.
Lots of families like to dress up in coordinating costumes for Halloween, but what about your pumpkins?
My daughter learned a valuable life lesson the other evening, while we were on a walk through the park. My kids always ask if they can go and play at the park, which is half a block from our house, but we always say not without one of us there. Now, she finally understands why we won’t let them go alone and why we have rules they must follow when playing outside or going to a friends house.
It’s a daily ordeal for this household…well for one of us at least.
